Beef and Barley Soup III
This is what I consider the ultimate beef soup. Great on a frosty day. For beef stock, I use 2 1/2 quarts water and 6 teaspoons beef base. Also, use inexpensive red wine. No need for the good stuff here, and cheaper actually works better! Try with leftover pot roast.
Bohemian Pork Roast
When I lived in Chicago used to go to Cicero for a treat like this, served with steamed dumplings and mashed potatoes. Use the drippings to make an incredible gravy.
Fruited Curry Chicken Salad
A healthy and tasty chicken salad with a fruity twist - great on a croissant or in a honey pita. The salad is best if eaten the day after preparation. This allows the ingredients time to mingle, giving a fuller flavor.
Greek Chicken
A very good light summer dish. I serve it with sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, and garlic bread.
Mexican Beef Supreme
My boyfriend is from Mexico and he whipped this up one night and it turned out great. Beef, onions, garlic and peppers cooked in a delicious salsa verde sauce. Serve with rice, beans and tortillas. You may also add some sour cream to the sauce to make it creamier or add it after as a garnish.
Sparkling Grilled Ham
A big slice of ham, with a fruity marinade of sparkling grape juice, orange juice and spices.
Spinach Cantaloupe Salad with Mint
Spinach salad with cantaloupe, avocado, red peppers, and mint. Truly a refreshing summer delight! Serve with crusty French bread and a lovely buttery chardonnay.
Steamed Zucchini
A quick and healthy way to make zucchini.
Veronica's Apple Pancakes
This delicious recipe is perfect for our Sabbath morning breakfast. One recipe is never enough for my family. The pancakes are always moist and nutritious. I recommend these pancakes to be eaten with hot cinnamon syrup!
Broiled Tilapia Parmesan
Flavorful recipe for this farm raised fish that is easy and done in minutes! The fish is broiled with a creamy cheese coating for an impressive flavor and texture.
Egg Bites
Easy baked version of those egg bites made popular by that famous chain coffeehouse. I like them with hot sauce!
Basic Mashed Potatoes
Potatoes are blended with warmed butter and milk to create those perfect, smooth mashed potatoes everyone loves.
